All applicants must meet the following basic requirements: Not more than two separate incidents involving Federal Aviation Regulations violations in the last 5 years; Valid State driver's license; Fluency in English; No chemical dependencies or drug abuse that could interfere with job performance; and High school graduate or equivalent. Medical Requirements: Applicants must be physically able to perform the duties of the Aviation Safety Inspector Aircraft Dispatch position. They must: Have good distant vision in each eye and be able to read, without strain, printed materials the size of typewritten characters (glasses and contact lenses permitted); Have the ability to hear the conversational voice (hearing aid permitted); and Not have any physical condition that would cause them to be a hazard to themselves or others that would interfere with the their ability to fly as passengers in a variety of aircraft. Specialized Experience Requirements: In addition to meeting the basic requirements, applicants must meet the specialized experience requirements as outlined below. Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate - must include a copy in the application Recency of experience: A portion of the applicant¿s specialized experience must have been gained within the last three years. At least two years of experience as a part 121 scheduled domestic and/or scheduled international (flag) dispatcher, and at least one year of experience in at least one of the following positions: Air Transportation Supervisor (ATS); Designated Aircraft Dispatcher Examiner (DADE); An Aircraft Dispatcher with primary responsibility for developing, creating, and/or revising dispatch manuals and procedures which require a comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements and current FAA policy for a Part 121 Air Carrier; or A Dispatch Instructor for a Part 121 Air Carrier.
